Dr. Carter returned to her native Arizona after training and has practiced medical and surgical eye care in Tucson for over twenty five years. She has done thousands of surgeries and lasers and has been recognized as a “Best Doctor” nationally. She specializes in cataract surgery including advanced technology intraocular lens implants, glaucoma management and surgeries as well as pterygium surgery. Dr. Carter serves in leadership positions shaping eye care policy both locally and nationally. She is an editor for national eye publications and teaches other ophthalmologists at national meetings. Dr. Carter is married with two adult daughters and enjoys traveling, cooking, and yoga.
